Can you imagine surrendering your pet to a shelter because you have to travel to perform the duties of your job and feel you have no other options? Yet that is what many of our service men and women feel is their only choice when being deployed. There is actually an increase in animals being left at shelters prior to deployments in Hampton Roads.

 

As a result of our respect for our military and the impact our pets have had on our lives, Katie and I are extremely excited and proud to announce the beneficiary of the 2016 PDC Tournament is Dogs on Deployment (DoD). This 501(c)(3) organization provides an online network for service members
to search for volunteers who are willing to board their pets during their owner's service commitments. Dogs on Deployment promotes responsible, life-long pet ownership by military pet owners by advocating for military pet owner rights,
providing educational resources and granting financial assistance for military pet owners during times of emergency. The funds raised through our tournament will remain in Hampton Roads.
